Winter Hike to Ontario Peak, Mount Baldy

This full-day hike, which began at 7 AM, was 13 miles and a 4,700ft elevation gain. We began the hiking at Ice House Canyon Trail. Because of the snow covering the rest of the trail, it then became a free-for-all scramble up to Ontario Peak, Mount Baldy. Ontario Peak, at 8,693 ft, is one of the highest peaks in the San Gabriel Mountains of California.
